Shayne Arriola of Grand Island chosen as Homecoming royalty finalist at Nebraska

Shayne Arriola of Grand Island has been selected as a candidate for Homecoming king at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Arriola, a senior marketing major, is the son of Lori Arriola.

The Homecoming king and queen will be elected by the student body in an online vote Sept. 21. They will be crowned Sept. 23 at halftime of the Nebraska-Rutgers football game, which kicks off at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
