Samantha Menard of Bellevue receives UNL degree

Samantha Kay Menard of Bellevue was among nearly 800 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during the summer all-university commencement ceremony Aug. 13 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.
Menard earned a bachelor of science in animal science from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.
Melanie Simpson, Willa Cather professor of biochemistry at UNL, associate director of the University of Nebraska's Center for Biotechnology and a member of the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, delivered the commencement address. Chancellor Ronnie Green presided over the ceremony.
