Samantha Jo Gans-King of Lincoln Graduates from University of Nebraska-Lincoln

Samantha Jo Gans-King of Lincoln was among more than 2,800 students who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln at commencement exercises May 4 and 5. It was the largest graduating class in UNL history.

Gans-King received a bachelor of science in education and human sciences from the College of Education and Human Sciences.

The graduates are from 44 states and 38 countries.

Kwame Dawes, professor of English and Glenna Luschei Editor of the Prairie Schooner at UNL, addressed the May 4 postgraduate ceremony. Gen. C. Robert "Bob" Kehler, commander of the U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base, addressed the May 5 baccalaureate ceremony. Jeffrey Toobin, a staff writer for the New Yorker and senior analyst for CNN, will gave the address at the May 5 College of Law ceremony.
