Nicholas Knopik of Lincoln chosen as Nebraska Homecoming royalty finalist

Nicholas Knopik of Lincoln has been selected as a candidate for homecoming king at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Knopik, a senior biological sciences major, is the son of Barry and Kim Knopik.

The homecoming king and queen will be elected by the student body in an online vote Sept. 29. They will be crowned Oct. 1 at halftime of the Nebraska vs. Illinois football game, which kicks off at 2:300 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
