Matthew Buhrman of North Platte earns University of Nebraska-Lincoln degree

Matthew Conrad Buhrman of North Platte was among about 1,400 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during commencement exercises Dec. 16-17 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Buhrman earned a bachelor of science in criminology and criminal justice from the UNO College of Public Affairs and Community Service.

Sebastian Elbaum, Bessey Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Nebraska, delivered the address at the graduate and professional degrees ceremony Dec. 16. Chuck Hagel, former U.S. senator and former secretary of defense, gave the address at the undergraduate commencement Dec. 17. Chancellor Ronnie Green presided over the ceremonies.
