Mark Newcomer of Kearney receives military commission

Mark Austen Newcomer of Kearney was among three cadets in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Reserve Officer Training Corps who received military commissions in ceremonies Dec. 17.

Newcomer was commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
