Madelyn Petersen of Elkhorn chosen as UNL Homecoming royalty finalist

Madelyn Petersen of Elkhorn has been selected as a candidate for homecoming queen at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Petersen, a senior international management major, is the daughter of Matt and Laurinda Petersen.

The homecoming king and queen will be elected by the student body in an online vote on Thursday, Sept. 24. They will be crowned Sept. 26 at halftime of the Nebraska vs. Southern Miss football game, which kicks off at 11 a.m. at Memorial Stadium.
