Laura Springer of Grand Island chosen as Homecoming royalty finalist at Nebraska

Laura Springer of Grand Island has been selected as a candidate for Homecoming queen at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Springer, a senior history, communications studies and political science (pre-law) major, is the daughter of Daniel and Susan Springer.

The Homecoming king and queen will be elected by the student body in an online vote Sept. 21. They will be crowned Sept. 23 at halftime of the Nebraska-Rutgers football game, which kicks off at 2:30 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
