Joseph Stapleton of Lincoln receives University of Nebraska-Lincoln degree

Joseph Anthony Stapleton of Lincoln was among 1,488 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during commencement exercises Dec. 15 and 16.

Stapleton earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Systems Engineering from the College of Engineering.

Gwendolyn M. Combs, associate professor of management in the College of Business, delivered the address at the graduate and professional degrees ceremony. Chancellor Ronnie Green bestowed Nebraska's prestigious Cather Medal upon James B. Milliken, former president of the University of Nebraska system and chancellor of The City University of New York, during the undergraduate ceremony.
