James Andrew Otterby of South Sioux City Graduates from University of Nebraska-Lincoln

James Andrew Otterby of South Sioux City was among more than 2,800 students who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln at commencement exercises May 4 and 5. It was the largest graduating class in UNL history.

Otterby received a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from the College of Engineering.

The graduates are from 44 states and 38 countries.

Kwame Dawes, professor of English and Glenna Luschei Editor of the Prairie Schooner at UNL, addressed the May 4 postgraduate ceremony. Gen. C. Robert "Bob" Kehler, commander of the U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base, addressed the May 5 baccalaureate ceremony. Jeffrey Toobin, a staff writer for the New Yorker and senior analyst for CNN, will gave the address at the May 5 College of Law ceremony.
