Hannah Paxton of Wakefield receives University of Nebraska-Lincoln degrees

Hannah Linn Paxton of Wakefield was among 684 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during the summer commencement ceremony Aug. 12 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Paxton earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with highest distinction from the College of Business. She also earned a Bachelor of Journalism with high distinction from the College of Journalism and Mass Communications.

Chancellor Ronnie Green presided over the ceremony, in which undergraduate and graduate degrees were awarded.

Harris Smith, director of the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film at Nebraska and executive director of the Nebraska Repertory Theatre, delivered the commencement address. Roy J. Long, retired teacher and former Nebraska football player, received an honorary Doctor of Education.
