Elizabeth McDonald of Phillips earns University of Nebraska-Lincoln degree

Elizabeth Marie McDonald of Phillips was among about 1,400 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during commencement exercises Dec. 16-17 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

McDonald earned a bachelor of science in animal science with high distinction from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.

Sebastian Elbaum, Bessey Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Nebraska, delivered the address at the graduate and professional degrees ceremony Dec. 16. Chuck Hagel, former U.S. senator and former secretary of defense, gave the address at the undergraduate commencement Dec. 17. Chancellor Ronnie Green presided over the ceremonies.
