Desiree Bartels of Tobias chosen as Nebraska Homecoming royalty finalist

Desiree Bartels of Tobias has been selected as a candidate for homecoming queen at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Bartels, a senior theatre performance and theatre directing and management major, is the daughter of Donald and Victoria Bartels.

The homecoming king and queen will be elected by the student body in an online vote Sept. 29. They will be crowned Oct. 1 at halftime of the Nebraska vs. Illinois football game, which kicks off at 2:300 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
