Deidre Sandall of Blair receives University of Nebraska-Lincoln degree

Deidre Michelle Sandall of Blair was among 684 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during the summer commencement ceremony Aug. 12 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Sandall earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Systems Engineering from the College of Engineering.

Chancellor Ronnie Green presided over the ceremony, in which undergraduate and graduate degrees were awarded.

Harris Smith, director of the Johnny Carson School of Theatre and Film at Nebraska and executive director of the Nebraska Repertory Theatre, delivered the commencement address. Roy J. Long, retired teacher and former Nebraska football player, received an honorary Doctor of Education.
