Brett Begley of Omaha chosen as Nebraska Homecoming royalty finalist

Brett Begley of Omaha has been selected as a candidate for homecoming king at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Begley, a senior chemistry major, is the son of Brian and Pamela Begley.

The homecoming king and queen will be elected by the student body in an online vote Sept. 29. They will be crowned Oct. 1 at halftime of the Nebraska vs. Illinois football game, which kicks off at 2:300 p.m. at Memorial Stadium.
