Bonnie Smith of Lincoln receives University of Nebraska-Lincoln degree

Bonnie Jean Smith of Lincoln was among 1,488 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during commencement exercises Dec. 15 and 16.

Smith earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and Human Sciences with distinction from the College of Education and Human Sciences.

Gwendolyn M. Combs, associate professor of management in the College of Business, delivered the address at the graduate and professional degrees ceremony. Chancellor Ronnie Green bestowed Nebraska's prestigious Cather Medal upon James B. Milliken, former president of the University of Nebraska system and chancellor of The City University of New York, during the undergraduate ceremony.
