Amanda Van Sant of Omaha receives University of Nebraska-Lincoln degree

Amanda Jane Van Sant of Omaha was among 1,488 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during commencement exercises Dec. 15 and 16.

Van Sant earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from the College of Engineering.

Gwendolyn M. Combs, associate professor of management in the College of Business, delivered the address at the graduate and professional degrees ceremony. Chancellor Ronnie Green bestowed Nebraska's prestigious Cather Medal upon James B. Milliken, former president of the University of Nebraska system and chancellor of The City University of New York, during the undergraduate ceremony.
