Alexander Wirth of Grand Island earns University of Nebraska-Lincoln degree

Alexander Matthew Wirth of Grand Island was among about 1,400 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during commencement exercises Dec. 16-17 at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Wirth earned a bachelor of science in business administration with highest distinction from the College of Business Administration.

Sebastian Elbaum, Bessey Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Nebraska, delivered the address at the graduate and professional degrees ceremony Dec. 16. Chuck Hagel, former U.S. senator and former secretary of defense, gave the address at the undergraduate commencement Dec. 17. Chancellor Ronnie Green presided over the ceremonies.
