Alex Meyer of Austin wins Omaha Press Club Foundation scholarship

Alex Meyer of Austin is one of five students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Journalism and Mass Communications who will be awarded $9,500 in scholarships by the Omaha Press Club Foundation in an April 25 dinner at the Omaha Press Club.

Meyer, a junior advertising major, will be awarded a $2,500 John F. Davis Scholarship. Meyer, a media buyer for the 2014 National Student Advertising Competition, has made Dean's List for four semesters and is president of the Pi Beta Phi sorority. She is minoring in psychology, communication and English. Her parents are Kevin and Shawna Meyer of Austin.
